Term #1 Grade 12 Assignments

The following is a current list of assignments for this class that will be graded in term1.

• Poses 5 girl poses, 5 guy poses. The focus of this assignment is mainly on posing and learning to work with your models. In addition to this, you need to include 2 before and after poses. (20 marks)
• Website: Begin setting up your website, make sure you include your best work and a bio of yourself. (10 marks)
• Theme shoot: Choose a theme to shoot ( 1960's, nature, cars, skateboarding, black and white, chocolate, clothing etc) and shoot 20 different shots. (20 marks)
• Product shoot: 10 shots of products  on Flickr and the best shot turned into a magazine ad
• Macros/macro substitute assignment: Either shoot ten macro shots or 10 shots of your choice to substitute this assignment ( 20 marks)

Not due this term but very quick into term 2 : 60 seconds of beauty or alternate video assignment.

Do not forget about many of your term 2 assignments like: your photo art piece, your photo book with a minimum 20 of your best photos ( often takes at least 2 weeks to process), continuation of your website, big me little me assignment, poem/quote photo shoot, your choice video assignment #2, and conceptual shots, cd/album cover. I will go over these next week in class.

Term #4 Assignments

The following is an up to date list of assignments for term #4 so far.

1. 10 macros on Flickr (20 marks)
2. 20 theme shoot, choose any theme you want and put it in a slideshow set to music, it will be presented in class and the photos will be posted to Flickr.(40 marks)
3. Website update, you should have created the final look for your site and it should include some of your macros, theme shoot, conceptual photos and your video. (20 marks)
4. Photo book: this is a compilation/portfolio of a minimum of 10 of your best photos. (20 marks)
5. Conceptual photos 3. In this assignment, you will work to create a statement, evidence of editing work should be present. (30 marks)
6. Poem photos: Choose a poem and represent it in photos ( this could be done as a slideshow, video or poster...pitch me an idea ( 4 photos minimum)  (40 marks)
7. Artwork from photos: This assignment can take many forms. One big piece, or a number of smaller pieces of art created from a photograph is expected. In addition to this, one gel transfer onto a medium of your choice should also be completed. ( 50 marks)
8. Downtown shoot; 20 edited shots from our lunch trip downtown ( 40 marks)
9. Spring shoot: 3 shots, evidence of spring
10 Big me, little me or Photo recreation 10 marks
